Mini Bio:

Graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the Fluminense Federal University (1988), Master in Veterinary Medicine from the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (1997) and Doctor of Medicine (General Surgery) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2005). Associate Professor at the State University of Northern Fluminense, President of the Brazilian College of Veterinary Surgery and Anesthesiology (CBCAV) in the 2009-2010 and 2011-2012 administrations, Scientific Director of the CBCAV Management 2013-2014 and General Secretary of the Management 2015-2016, Treasurer of the CBCAV 2019-2019. Scientific Director of Anclivepa (2016-2018 and 2019 to 2019). Founding Member and President of the Brazilian Association of Veterinary Orthopedics and Traumatology from 2008 to 2010. He has experience in Veterinary Medicine, with an emphasis on Animal Surgical Technique, working mainly on the following topics: Thoracic Surgery, Intensive Care, Video Surgery and NOTES Young Scientist of our State (FAPERJ Research Productivity Grant) from 2009 to 2011. Post-Doctorate at the University Foundation of Cardiology/Cardiology Institute of Porto Alegre with work in the area of Gene Therapy in myocardial ischemia. He has over 100 articles published in specialized journals and has 800 citations, with an H index of 7 and i10 of 6. He has given over 200 lectures at national and international technical-scientific events (Congresses and Symposia). He has published four books and several chapters. Editor of the following journals: Brazilian Journal of Veterinary Surgery and Brazilian Journal of Animal Science. FAPERJ Research Productivity Scientist since 2014.
